Low Stock Alert
Click the Low Stock card to open a panel showing every item at or below 5 units, sorted by quantity. The panel lists the product code, name, current stock, and category. Items with zero stock show an "Out" badge.
Managers and Admins see a Go to Products button inside the panel.
Payments Today
To the right of your sales list (on wider screens), a donut chart shows a breakdown of how customers paid today: Cash, Card, Store Credit, and Cheque (if your store accepts cheques). Managers and Admins see totals across the entire store. Cashiers see only their own sales for the day.
Managers and Admins can click Full report above the chart to open the Sales by Payment Method report, where you can view payment breakdowns across any date range.
Who Can See the Dashboard
All roles (Cashier, Manager, Admin) see the dashboard with live store metrics. The "Your Sales Today" list shows only the sales recorded by the person currently logged in.
FAQ
Q: What counts as "low stock"?
A: Any active product or variant with 5 or fewer units in stock. This applies to all unit types including weight-based items (kg, L, m).
Q: Does the revenue include voided sales?
A: No. Only completed sales count toward today's revenue and transaction totals.
Q: How often does the dashboard refresh?
A: The dashboard loads fresh data every time you visit the page. Navigate away and come back, or refresh your browser to see the latest numbers.
Q: I just completed a sale. Why doesn't it show up in my list?
A: Navigate back to the Dashboard or refresh the page.
Q: Can I see another cashier's sales in this list?
A: No. "Your Sales Today" shows only your own completed sales. Managers and Admins can use the Sales page to see all cashiers' transactions.
Q: Can I see yesterday's revenue on the dashboard?
A: The dashboard shows today only. For historical data, use the Reports page where you can select any date range.
Q: What should I do when I see low stock items?
A: Click the Low Stock card to review what needs restocking. To reorder from a supplier, go to Purchase Orders and create a new order. If stock has already arrived without a formal order, use Stock Adjustments on the product to update the quantity.
