Appearance (Theme)

ClarityPOS ships with three built-in colour themes. You can switch between them at any time from Settings, and your choice is saved to your account so it follows you across devices.

Available themes

  • Lucidara Light (default): the brand look, with navy and gold accents on a warm off-white background. Best for well-lit shops.
  • Lucidara Dark: the same brand look in a navy dark mode. Easier on the eyes in dim shops or during late shifts.
  • Classic: a clean, bright alternative with a blue accent on a soft grey background.

How to switch themes

  1. Go to Settings and select Account.
  2. Find the Appearance selector.
  3. Pick Lucidara Light, Lucidara Dark, or Classic.

A confirmation message appears once the change is saved to your account.

What to expect

  • Your theme choice is tied to your user account, not the device. Log in on any device and your theme is already applied.
  • Status colours look the same in every theme, so alerts and warnings stay recognisable: success, error, warning.
  • If the network drops while saving, the theme still applies on screen for your current session. Switch again once you are back online to save it permanently.

FAQ

Q: Does switching themes change anything other than how the app looks?

A: No. Themes only change colours. All features, data, prices, and workflows are identical across all themes.

Q: Is my theme shared with everyone in my store?

A: No, each user picks their own. A cashier on Lucidara Dark and a manager on Classic can use the same terminal at different logins, and each sees their own theme when they log in.

Q: Will my theme choice follow me to another computer?

A: Yes. The theme is saved to your account and applied automatically when you log in on any device.

Q: Which theme is the default?

A: Lucidara Light.

Q: I switched themes but the colours did not change. What should I do?

A: If nothing changed, try selecting another option and switching back. If it still does not apply, log out and back in: your saved theme is applied at login.
