Multi-Branch (Organizations)

Some businesses run several branches under one organization. When your store belongs to an organization, two extra features appear: the Portfolio page and branch stock lookup on the Products page.

Single-shop stores are unaffected

If your store is standalone, you will not see these features, and nothing changes for you. Organizations are set up by the platform administrator, not from inside your store.

Branch Portfolio

Go to Portfolio in the sidebar to see every branch in your organization at a glance. Each branch shows:

• The branch name and its business type.
• An Active or Inactive badge.
• A Current badge on the branch you are signed into.

The Portfolio is a read-only overview. You cannot sign into another branch from here; each branch has its own staff and login.

If your store is not part of an organization, the page shows: "Your shop is not part of a multi-branch organization."

Who can open Portfolio?

Admins only.

Checking Stock in Other Branches

When you are out of an item, you can check whether a sister branch has it in stock.

1. Go to Products.
2. On a product row, click the branch stock icon (a small building icon).
3. The Stock in Other Branches window lists each sister branch that carries the same product, with its stock level shown as a number, or a Low or Out badge.

Branches are matched by product code: the other branch must stock a product with the same code. Only branches of the same business type are shown.

TIP

This is a read-only lookup, handy for telling a customer where to find an item or for planning a transfer. To actually move stock between branches, send the goods physically and record a stock adjustment at each branch (a negative Correction at the branch sending the goods, a Receive at the branch getting them).

Who can use branch stock lookup?

Managers and Admins. The icon only appears when your store is in an organization that has at least one sister branch of the same business type, and the product has a product code.

FAQ

Q: I do not see a Portfolio page or a branch stock icon. Why?

A: Your store is standalone, not part of an organization. These features only appear for stores in a multi-branch organization. Contact your platform administrator if you believe your branches should be linked.

Q: Can I sell or move stock from another branch on this screen?

A: No. It is a read-only view. Physically move the goods, then record the transfer with a stock adjustment at each branch.

Q: A product I know another branch stocks is not showing. Why?

A: Branches are matched by product code and business type. The other branch must carry a product with exactly the same code. If the branches use different codes for the same item, they will not match.

Q: Can a Manager use these features?

A: Managers can use the branch stock lookup on the Products page. The Portfolio page is for Admins only.

Q: Does the branch stock figure update in real time?

A: It reflects each branch's current saved stock at the moment you open the window. If a branch is selling offline, its figure updates once that branch syncs.
