Signing In

  1. Open ClarityPOS in your web browser.
  2. Enter your email address and password.
  3. Click Sign In.

You sign in with your email, not a username. There is no store or branch to choose: your account already knows which store it belongs to.

Who creates my account?

Staff accounts are created by your store Admin. If you do not have a login yet, ask your Admin to set one up. The sign-in screen has no "Sign up" option on purpose.

Your First Sign-In (Temporary Password)

When your Admin creates your account, they give you a temporary password. The first time you sign in:

  1. Enter your email and the temporary password.
  2. You are taken to a Set your password screen.
  3. Choose a new password (at least 8 characters) and confirm it.
  4. Click Set Password. You are taken to your dashboard.

From then on, you sign in with your own password. Only you should know it.

Changing Your Password

You can change your own password at any time:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. In the My Account section, click Change Password.
  3. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
  4. Click Change Password.

For your security, changing your password signs you out on every device. Sign back in with your new password.

TIP

Any staff member (Cashier, Manager, or Admin) can change their own password this way.

If an Admin Resets Your Password

If you forget your password, your Admin can reset it for you. When they do:

  • You are signed out immediately on every device.
  • Your Admin gives you a new temporary password.
  • Sign in with it, then set your own password again (the same first sign-in steps above).

There is no "Forgot password?" link for self-service reset. Always contact your store Admin.

Why You Might Be Signed Out Automatically

ClarityPOS signs you out straight away when:

  • An Admin resets your password.
  • An Admin changes your role (for example, from Cashier to Manager).
  • An Admin deactivates your account.

If this happens, simply sign in again. If you cannot, check with your Admin.


FAQ

Q: Do I log in with a username or my email?

A: Your email address. Every account has a username as well, but it is only an identifier shown to your Admin. Signing in always uses your email and password.

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

A: There is no self-service reset. Ask your store Admin to reset it. They will give you a temporary password, and you choose a new one on your next sign-in.

Q: Why was I asked to set a new password right after signing in?

A: Your account was created (or reset) with a temporary password. For security, you must replace it with your own password before you can continue.

Q: What are the password rules?

A: A password must be at least 8 characters. Choose something only you know and avoid sharing it.

Q: The system signed me out on its own. What happened?

A: An Admin most likely reset your password, changed your role, or deactivated your account. Sign in again, or contact your Admin if you cannot.

Q: Can I sign in at more than one register at the same time?

A: Yes. The same account can be signed in on more than one device. Changing your password or having it reset signs you out of all of them at once.

Q: I am a new staff member and cannot sign in. What should I check?

A: Confirm your Admin has created your account and that it is active. Use your email and the temporary password exactly as given, then set your own password when prompted.
